  Aldo has just done another job for us and as usual his diligence, courtesy and skill were in evidence. He crafted a door access onto our flat roof from the adjoing room, replacing the windows too. He also made a helful pair of steps for safe movement. See our two previous reviews for more general detail on Aldo's work.

  remodelling/rebuilding brick flower beds

  Aldo had done many jobs for us, including plumbing; fitting a bookshelf, loft ladder, understairs storage, patio cover, patio paving, etc. He carefully researches jobs, sourcing the best supplies. He will make imaginative suggestions if you are unsure exactly what you want. He works conscienciously, and exclusively on one job at a time. Unlike other tradespersons we have hired, he is completely reliable: careful, polite, considerate and tidy, cleaning up every day. In addition he is a nice bloke. You may find cheaper, but it would be a false economy. Hightly recommended

  Supply and fitting timer to immersion heater

  This job was efficiently done by Steve Green, for the quoted price. I was contacted promptly after posting the job and he came on the agreed day. I was consulted on the siting of the timer and the system was explained to me.

  Laying new patio

  We have used Aldo for several jobs now. As well as being a skillful carpenter-joiner he has many other talents. His strengths - and why we keep coming back to him - are that he is thorough, conscientious, careful, reliable, considerate, responsible and invariably cheerful. He has done an excellent job re-laying our patio in stone paving, and made many helpful suggestions. You may find a cheaper quote, but I very much doubt you will be as satisfied as if you had hired Aldo.

  Install bookshelves

  Aldo is a very reliable, friendly, hard worker. He went to extra trouble to erect our bookshelf just before Xmas, staying late to finish the job in one day. The shelving as exactly as we specified. (Note that he does not do painting.)

  Work proceeded exactly as in estimate, at very reasonable price (especially compared to other company!). Our minor variations readily agreed. Very competent, courteous and informative staff. Excellent guarantee provided, and regular service contract at economical price arranged. We would recommend this small local business.
