  Chimney Removal Led to Roof Gap – Issue Not Resolved and Poor Follow-Up

  Negative! After chimney removal work, it looked fine externally, but within two weeks, I reported a fallen tile. The trader attended but only inspected from ground level and said there was no issue. During loft work, I found a visible gap in the roof with daylight coming through, indicating missing or poorly fitted slates. I shared photos and repeatedly asked for this to be fixed but was told “tomorrow” several times. When heavy rain started, I was asked to pay £550 for an “emergency call-out” to fix the issue, despite having reported it earlier. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend.

  Five-star boiler install: professional, tidy, great value

His quote was competitive, and he made an excellent recommendation for a new boiler that suits our home perfectly. Mel is a reliable Gas Safe engineer who delivers work to a very high standard.
