  Instructed Andy at Duchy Decorators after he quoted for a full house redecoration. Andy gave guidance on paint types and a written quotation with clarity. Andy was aware of the time pressures on the job and ensured he meet my time frame requirements. The job was completed on time to a high standard with no change to the written quote on cost. A professional job and highly recommended.

  Replaced Kitchen Sink and TVR's

  I I have used P&A on several occasions and are now my go to for plumbing and gas work. Reliable, professional and flexible which combines to a great service. In respect of this review I required a new sink. The issue was the current cut out in the work surface for the new sink was to small. Not a problem for P&A. Instead of asking me to get a joiner in to resolve so they called come back and fit they actually sorted a joiner out for me reducing the hassle for me and speeding up the job. Excellent service from start to finish....and they mopped the floor after they finished.

  Refused To Quote - Sterotyping

  My aunt went into a nursing home and to help with the payments she asked if we could rent her house out. There was a little bit of damp in the front room and before letting I contacted this contractor for a quote. He refused to quote as he said he does not do work for landlords because all they want is a "cheap bodge job." Actually I wanted a professional job. Disappointing when you ring up for a service and they sterotype you like this.

  Quoting or Not ?

  Arranged a day for trader to visit. A few hours before trader was due to visit he cancelled as he was delayed on another job. Re-booked in for the following day. Trader turned up and said he would get a quote over to me. That was on the 25th October. After three phone calls and three text messages to him since his visit chasing the quote he never responded to any of my messages and has not sent a quote. Its now the 16th November. Disappointing when contractors do this and I expected checkatrade contractors to be more reliable than this. He could of at least contacted me with an update.
