  Stepan was booked to construct a balustrade with newel posts, balusters and handrail for a staircase at a property I have on rent. Having spent some time trying to find a tradesperson willing to take on various pieces of work I needed completed, it was refreshing when Stepan got in touch. He maintained clear and consistent communication throughout, offered helpful advice on the materials required, and arrived exactly when he said he would. He was punctual, completed the work within the agreed timeframe, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. A job very well done - thank you.

  Fusebox replacement, Fusebox Tripping fix and installation of a security light in the garden

  Fred went socket by socket (ground floor) to find a fault which was causing the fusebox to permanently trip. He found and fixed the issue at a price that was considerably lower than British Gas' estimate (their solution was simply to rewire all of the downstairs sockets). He also upgraded my fusebox which was dated (BG recommended this as part of their overkill solution to my issues). I also took the opportunity to have a security light installed on an annexe in the garden. The work was done on time, was clean and at the quoted price. Fred also happens to be a very polite guy.

  Replacement of glass panel above door

  Blues Windows always maintained constant contact, providing frequent updates as to the delivery of the replacement glass panel. We were moving in at the time and their flexibility to our limited availability was greatly appreciated. Blue let me know when he was on his way and arrived on time. He was polite throughout the experience and provided very helpful tips and advice. For what was a a low cost job, the service provided was as if it was a very large and profitable one. All in all, a very hassle free experience during a stressful moving in experience.

  Partial Shower room refurbishment

  I found Abdul to have excellent time keeping – is true to his word, reliable, respectful, makes sure you’re happy with the end results – all while offering competitive pricing. Abdul converted a downstairs shower / toilet into a wet room. He removed the existing tiled floor, replaced it with new tiling, ensured that there was sufficient gradient for the water to flow to the newly installed shower drain. He installed a new shower rail, curtain rail and also repositioned the existing thermostatic shower mixer bar. He also made a very welcomed change to the box that covers exposed pipes.

  Dual Fuel Cooker Installation

  Ali arrived on time, put on shoe coverings (without being asked to) and took a moment to assess the situation. Upon realising it was a two-man job (removal and replacing large free standing cookers) he admitted he wouldn't be able to do work. I advised him that I could help him lift the cookers. With that hiccup out of the way, Ali proceeded to complete the installation of the new cooker. He checked that we were happy with the installation and even took the time to explain some of the safety features of the cooker (even though it was not supplied by him). I would most certainly use him again.

  Installation of concrete panel fence and construction of pergola.

  Very happy with the service provided, from start to finish. Abdur did everything as asked or promised. He arrived on time to provide the quote. He asked all the right questions and provided great advice, giving me a couple of options with regard to the pergola. He kept in touch over the next week or so, answering all my questions, over Whatsapp and phone calls. While he was not the cheapest, his pricing was competitive. I also have more respect for builders who stand by their price, rather than drop it excessively to win the business. I've already referred his services to friends.

  Installation of Air Conditioning unit in a conservatory, with very limited spacing options.

  I found Smart Tech to be a very responsive and reliable installer. Replied to all e-mails/SMS questions promptly. Always arrived when they said they'd come. Addressed all my concerns as they were installing the unit and came around the same day when I noticed an issue afterwards - that had a simple fix that could have been handled over the phone. The bonus was that I found them to be very competitively priced.
