  Nu-Flame gas fire – positive result!

  Seb carried out a lot of troubleshooting and work to get my old Nu-Flame gas fire working again after a long period of it failing. His attention to detail has been appreciated throughout and it’s always a pleasure to have him working here, where he’s been professional, respectful of my home, and generous with his time and advice. And now I have a warm, working fire. Perfect. Thank you.

  Bespoke doors in hallway refurbishment.

  In the first stage of a hallway refurb, Jonathan fitted new skirting and two custom made doors. A discreet door for an understairs cupboard and a smart, non-standard size panel door with a latch for the cellar. Fine finish and attention to detail throughout. Jonathan's input and advice regarding the job and design details was great – from initial site visit to the job's completion. I was comfortable having Jonathan working in my home and very pleased with his work.

  Independent suspended ceiling in hallway.

  11m length of hallway ceiling, curving round a bend and in to a hallway cupboard – at two different levels (from the step-down in the flat above) all completed in one day. Good communication from Holly during planning and setting up this job around my electricians' first fit. Mitch and Luke installed the ceiling – very smart job – clean and thorough attention to detail. Heavy footfall noise from neighbours above is now deadened (not completely eliminated). This was really worth doing for peace of mind. Very pleased all-round.

  Rewiring hallway, fitting downlights and switches.

  This is the 4th time I've used Blueserve. Old wiring and lights were removed and new cabling and switches fitted into an 11m hallway before my soundproofing contractors installed a new ceiling. Blueserve then finished fitting downlights. Switches in 3 locations operate 2 separate sections of hall lights and porch light. Great work and attention to detail from engineer Jack. Clear advice and great communication during planning of the job from Blueserve Director Dan. I'm always comfortable having Blueserve engineers in my home and always pleased with the result.

  Retaining wall in wooden sleepers for area of lawn and beds.

  Jon built a three-sided low retaining wall around the rear raised area of my garden. His advice and opinions and the options offered at quotation stage were clear and helpful. Challenging issues like the slope of the garden and some awkward areas were dealt with perfectly and the pale wood sleepers look very smart. Both Jon and Andrew were pleasant to have around and this was a tidy job. The finished result is what I expected – and with a good attention to detail.

  Patch plastering after electricians' socket installation and rendering an outside wall.

  The installation of extra electrical sockets left gaping holes in the walls. Adam's patch plastering has filled in the voids seamlessly with the surrounding wall and with a mirror finish. Outside, Tony rendered a messy and damaged wall, which now has smart edges and a great finish, also smartening up some messy edges and carelessly fixed media cables on the pavement boundary. Really good attention to detail. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and helpful advice, and a tidy, clean job. Adam and Tony were pleasant to have working around the house.

  Horizontal slatted screen in garden.

  A custom built horizontal slatted screen erected across the rear concrete wall at the bottom of my garden and a matching, continuous edge of the same horizontal screen running on top of the side fences. This looks really chic and stylish. It masks an ugly wall and provides understated, smart screening at the sides. Great advice from Alvin Ayres on this job, from conception through to completion. Faultless attention to detail in the alignment of the screen. I couldn't be more pleased with the result and the profession manner in which Alvin (with Sonny) executed this. It looks stunning.

  New feather edge fence.

  A feather edge fence with concrete posts and wooden gravel board was erected, replacing the failing and flimsy old one. The new fence is super-sturdy and very smart. From initial site visit and estimate, I was given clear advice about the job. A tidy finished result from Alvin (with Sonny) who have a professional approach and who I trusted working in my garden. Very pleased.

  Engineered oak floor laid in living room.

  Excellent service from initial help in a lovely showroom while I considered options for my flooring choice (stunning Staki oak) through to the final fitting. I felt clearly informed and well advised on all aspects of the job and fitting of the floor, and how the finishing details would look. The floor looks stunning with a super-flat, velvety finish – exactly as I wanted. The finish around architraves, hearth and skirting boards is perfect. I felt comfortable having this company working in my home – and their attention to detail is just what I wanted – I couldn't be more pleased.
