  George and Ben relaid some paving slabs to form a general purpose hardstanding area. They understood what was required and were polite, efficient, professional and produced exactly what was required. They cleaned the work areas on completion and were very pleasant to deal with, so much so I have rebooked them to do another small job.

  Relaying patio on a mortar base

  WDJ & Sons were very quick to respond to the job enquiry. Will came to assess the work and gave a verbal quotation which was confirmed by email. The job was started in a very short space of time. The team were very pleasant, communicated well and acted on suggestions. The job was completed quickly to a high standard and everything was left clean and tidy with no fuss or bother.   Brick driveway laid

  FA Brothers, Mr Stephen Farrell, were employed on the premise to construct a paved driveway with the excess rainfall being channelled to the side passageway drainage. This scheme, though with a considerably more expensive quotation (20%) to its nearest competitor was favoured as it did not include a soakaway. After the side passageway concrete path had been excavated it was determined that the water levels between the driveway runoff and the sewage gullies were incompatible to provide drainage, It was a serious surveying failure before providing a quotation. The only alternative available was a soakaway under the drive. Further to that, the work to make good the passageway to its original condition was haphazard and required our intervention twice to ensure the work was completed correctly. After Mr Farrell’s workforce had left for the day, we noticed that an incorrect thickness of bricks had been ordered and laid. To correct this omission with a minimum of delay bricks from a different manufacturer to those illustrated in FA Brothers specimen brochure were ordered. The construction of the driveway was to a good standard, though the invoice is under dispute due to his failure to complete the work detailed in the quotation.
