  Altering contents of meter cupboard in preparation for Smart Meter installation

  Recently a smart meter engineer refused to install a new meter due to lack of space in the meter cupboard. I contacted AA Electrical help resolve this, and promptly received a quote. Alan arrived on time and discussed the options available. The installation was complicated by the rigidity and limited length of existing cables leading to the house, but a neat solution was found, and I'm very pleased with the results. The meter is now in the perfect position, ready for the next smart meter installation appointment.

  New consumer unit, extractor fans, sockets, ceiling lights

  Our newly purchased house needed many upgrades and having used AA Electrical before, they were our first contact. The whole process was very smooth, they were able to attend within a couple of days to discuss and provide a quotation. We arranged the 1.5 days work to fit in alongside other trades and they attended on time with everything they needed to complete the job. When holes needed to be cut to run cables, this was fully discussed to minimize impact. Work was finished two weeks after first contact and everything was completed to a very high standard. Will be first choice for future work.

  Electrical Condition Report and Installation of External Lights

  Excellent communication via email before the work started. The electrician arrived exactly at the arranged time, and walked around the house with me discussing all aspects of the job. As I was working from home, he was careful that the internet didn't go offline for more than a couple of minutes. Later in the day the results of the Condition Report were discussed and I gave the go ahead for a few small improvements to bring the circuits up to modern standards. During the day I also had some outside lights replaced - again the options were fully discussed and I'm very pleased with the results.
