  Sanded and varnished hallway and lounge floors

  Radu and his colleague took two days to sand and apply three coats of varnish to our wooden floor in the hallway and lounge. They met some difficulties with the floor but produced a good finish. Only area for improvement was not taking three bin bags of waste with them.

  Contacted MHG Airconditioning after the company I used to service our aircon last year hiked their price by 50%. Morris and his son serviced our internal and external units, rnded quickly and made extra effort to climb through a Velux window to reach the external unit. A good price for the work. Would use again.

  Converted towel rail to dual fuel by fitting heating element and timer.

  Contacted Polkadot for a quote to convert towel rail to dual fuel. Jack was very responsive by email, helped identify the correct parts to source and quoted on the basis of photos. They also arranged an electrician to fit the timer switch. Arrived on time first thing in the morning, electrician was delayed but they called to let us know. Would definitely use again.

  2 New double sockets, HDMI cable thread

  Mike was prompt to return a text request for a quote to fit two new double sockets (one behind a TV on the wall) and thread through a HDMI cable to a single blank socket. Was slightly delayed from the appointment time, but warned me well in advance. Nice guy and professional work.

  Repaired and sanded wooden floor

  Uri and his team repaired a damaged section of our herringbone softwood floor, sanded it and applied 3 coats of varnish. They arrived slightly early before 9am and left around 6pm, working hard for most of the day. The result,looks very good. Reasonable price and pleasant to deal with. Put up plastic sheeting to limit the dust and moved all the furniture.

  Two new pendant lights fitted

  Andrew replied to my request for a quote very promptly. He gave a range for the job after I had sent him some photos and his eventual price came in at the bottom of the range. He was very polite and did the job as soon as the lockdown was eased but was very conscious of social distancing. I would normally have fitted the lights but one of the roses had a junction box for a spur which was beyond my basic skills. Very tidy and neat. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Andrew again.
