  High quality work

  Mario and Jeff were great. We had experienced some water damage in our kitchen, so I needed someone to repair plasterboards, fill in cracks, and then paint the whole lot. I also asked for the exterior of our French doors to be painted and some minor repairs outside to be done. Our kitchen is open plan with the lounge, but I was pleased that they put up dustsheets so that dust didn't go from our kitchen into the lounge. The work was of a high quality. I was very pleased. I have already asked Mario to quote to do other work in the house.

  Old boiler and thermostat needed replacing

  I got three quotes - two from Checkatrade and one gas engineer from a neighbour who had had work done recently. Gareth from Flush Plumbing and the other quote were very similarly priced. I chose Gareth as Flush Plumbing seemed the smaller firm, so I assumed Flush Plumbing would be more accountable than the other, larger and perhaps more anonymous firm. Two chaps arrived to do the work: Guy and Paul. They just got on with the work, didn't require cups of tea, answered my questions, and cleaned up after themselves. The new boiler and thermostat are working well too. Good job - thank you team.

  A gutter just above the ground floor needed replacing.

  Michael turned up promptly and did the work quickly. The work seems of good quality and I paid the price that we agreed upon beforehand. I'd use Michael again if I need any more roof work doing.

  Essential roof repairs, but also some decorating

  I asked several roofers to quote on the work that needed doing. Andy was competitive on price, but I also got a sense that he knew what he was talking about. Andy had two younger chaps doing most of the actual work - and they were professional and polite. They did a good job and had no problem when I pointed out some minor bits that they had initially missed or that I didn't think had been finished off perfectly. Overall, I'm pleased with the work. I have already recommended Andy to a friend who needs some work doing on his rental property. And I would use Andy and his team again.

  Fixed leaky toilet.

  Discovered a drip on the outside of my toilet and needed someone to sort it out on the same day. Phoned Mark and he gave an estimate that he could be here in an hour. He was actually early. Sorted the problem out in under an hour. No messing around. Job done. And a friendly guy too. Will be keeping his details for any future jobs.
