10 Worked hard and left things tidy
Posted 28 September
James and Euan (spelling?) attended on a Saturday to remove 4 trees and plenty of ivy. They worked pretty much non-stop from 10:30 to 19:00 and climbed the trees to avoid any need to fell them. They then ground down the stumps to leave us with a pretty flat space. The overwhelming majority of refuse was cleared away - with just a few little bits remaining that were no bother. We were pleased with the work carried-out and the price paid did seem fair. The effort was obvious.Verified reviewerJob location: S70Excel Maintenance
10 Handy man
Posted 31 July
The job was for some kitchen drawer replacements and an electric oven re-positioning. We didn't get on to the drawers, but Dean made sure the oven was as perfectly aligned and secured as was possible. He then - as extra work he was completely unaware of - raised a patio door for me, and he then secured some decking for me and he then replaced a toilet seat for me. I was happy with everything that went down today. I'd call on Dean again and I have saved his details.Verified reviewerJob location: S13Gintaras Bukontas
10 Carries himself well and explains issues so you are sure he knows what he's doing
Posted 11 July
Gintaras arrived a little earlier than was planned for a non-emergency toilet leak. He was friendly, wore protective covers on his shoes and clearly knew what he was doing. He quickly identified the problem and it was a different problem to the one I thought it was. I was happy enough with the way he resolved that toilet that I asked him, ad hoc, if he would take a look at another. He did and this was fixed in the same visit. This included clean-up of silicone and the application of new. I will retain his contact details and would be pleased to engage him again.Verified reviewerJob location: S70- PPlumbwise Sheffield
4 Leak detection and toilet leak on flush repair
Posted 28 January
Kenny turned up at 17:00, to investigate a leak, and used my own drill and an inspection camera, an amateur would buy for about £35, and he found nothing! We moved onto a leaky toilet, it was comical and frightening to watch - he took it off the wall, scratched my tiles and broke the pan connector, he tried to use leak repair putty to create a doughnut (that "had never failed him") and, yes, it failed - he left after 22:00) and charged me £360 to fix nothing - the toilet still leaks today and Kenny won't address it.Verified reviewerJob location: S70 - PPlumbwise Sheffield
9.75 Replaced two old toilet slow-filling inlet valves
Posted 04 May 2024
I appreciated that this work was carried-out on a Friday evening when the job was put out on the Friday morning. Can't complain at that. The inlet valves intended to be used weren't available at Screwfix so slightly more expensive ones were used - tho' not eye-watering at all. They were fitted in two slow-filling toilets and they were tested for dryness, with no issues found. Price was exactly what I expected to be paying for this job (but very reasonable when it was done same-day). The offer of tidy-up was made, which I decided to take on myself. 10 CCTV install and repair.
Posted 07 June 2023
I don't think that I can praise the work carried out any more. It has been perfect and I've now got exactly what I want with my CCTV system. Kevin is very approachable, he listens to ideas (even at the last minute) and he gives useful information to help you in making decisions.Verified reviewerJob location: S70GLORIA
10 Relatively minor repair work to a leaking bathroom.
Posted 19 June 2021
I very much appreciated Alexandr's responsiveness to my relatively small - but urgent - job: a leaking bathroom in a tenanted property. He attended to quote, gave me a price I could live with within 10 minutes, I agreed but I asked the most important question - when could he get to it? Well, he turned up on Saturday morning and worked until it was completed by about midday. At this stage I'm not commenting on the quality of the work - as it's just been done and the bathroom hasn't been used yet, but if we assume all is good - then this was an excellent experience with Alexandr.Verified reviewerJob location: S70Access Electrics
9.75 Planned electric shower replacement, turned into a new shower switch
Posted 30 July 2020
A Tenant advised her electric shower wasn't working. Rather than try to diagnose I spoke with Neil and we agreed, due to Covid-19 challenges, he'd just go with a new shower and rip and replace the existing one. He turned up and phoned me to say it was the shower switch on the outside of the bathroom... he said he could use the shower the had supplied on another job and just changed the switch and charged me a lot less. Tenant happy. Landlord happy. Electrician happy enough. So I was very pleased.Verified reviewerJob location: S70
