• Fallen power lines

  • Contact your local emergency services and your power company as soon as possible. Make sure to keep your distance from the fallen power lines

• Electric shock

  • Call an ambulance for anyone who suffers a large electric shock. Remember not to touch them and if it's safe, turn off your power supply. You also need to contact an emergency electrician to fix the issue

• Power outage

  • Ask your neighbours if they’re having issues with their power supply as there may be a power outage in your area. If this is a local problem, contact the power company to report the issue. If only your home has no power, try resetting your circuit breaker. Contact an emergency electrician if resetting the breaker doesn’t work

• Damaged circuit breaker

  • Turn off the power supply to your home and contact an emergency electrician

• Fire damaged outlet

  • Immediately switch off your mains power supply and get in touch with an emergency electrician. If there’s still a fire, you should also call the fire department
